Going places.

So, just a quick post to say I GOT INTO UNI! Wahoo! And my first choice too. Soon i'll be leaving the fields that are so frequently featured on here and heading for a whole new land. Scary stuff.
But, most exciting too.

Summer sewing

Oh hey Treacle (that's the little animal featured above which roams my home day and night). Thought I'd quickly introduce you to my cat, if you haven't seen her in earlier posts, and the latest dress I've made. I finished it today with the intention of wearing it on a sunny day sometime soon but I might make some alterations still. Although I love the pale peachy colour, the light shades and all the white don't seem to suit my olive skin tone too well. So i'm thinking of dying it. Purple or navy? Or something else... What do you think?

Hope your week is going swell. If ,like me, you are beginning to have sleepless nights about results day in 6 days then I recommended reading till 4am. That or watching Shrek over and over again.

A Book of Knowledge

Featured in the photos is a 'Book of Knowledge' or encyclopedia. It's really old and part of a set of 8. In it are numerous strange and cool things from information about Native Indians to the make up of moths. Perfect for filling my holidays with some general knowledge. I miss learning at school. More so, I miss writing. But I'm planning to write lots of letters to friends to fill that void. Goodbye letters. Sigh. Change. Sigh.

Hope you're having a swell week so far. Is it as gloomy where you are?

I like Mondays.

I am Bronte

Well, I can certainly say that the sunny summer has long gone. The rain has returned and brought with it some mighty thunderstorms. I do love a good thunderstorm though. When I was on my travels in Africa ,during Easter, there was the most amazing thunderstorm one night. Me and my friends watched it from the balcony and couldn't stop ouuuing and ahhhing; Thunderstorms have got to be one of the best shows nature has to offer.

Not that I've had much need to go out in the rainy, stormy weather. My whole time seems to be consumed by the olympics. It's brilliant. I've never been that patriotic but London 2012 is truly amazing, right? It's strange to imagine people in Australia watching it live in the early hours of the morning while I watch it all day. Like the opening ceremony... Is Mr Bean really famous around the world?

Anyways, here is an outfit I'm hoping to replicate in reality soon. I love the simplicity of putting plain tees with maxis, grabbing my docs and trudging through the fields with the Jane Eyre Soundtrack in my ears. I've got everything (even in the Arwen necklace!) in this set apart from the grey long t shirt. I'm on the hunt for a baggy one. I've just got to get some monies first.
